Domino's in Columbus, OH — Prices, Hours & Delivery (October 2026)
Our home metro, and one of the most heavily test-marketed pizza cities in America. Here is what that means for the offers you see.
Last updated October 2026
Metro population approx. 910,000Columbus is where a lot of American fast food gets tested before the rest of the country sees it, and pizza is no exception. If you live here, you've almost certainly eaten a menu item or used a promotional structure months before it rolled out nationally — you just didn't know it at the time.
America's test market
Marketers love Columbus because the metro's demographics track the national profile unusually closely — age distribution, income spread, household composition, urban-suburban mix. That makes it a reliable predictor. Chains have used it as a proving ground for decades.
For residents, this means occasionally seeing a crust style, a bundle structure or a loyalty mechanic that nobody else has. Sometimes those things go national. Often they quietly disappear after eight weeks. Either way, if you spot an offer here that looks unfamiliar, it may well be a test — and test pricing is frequently more generous than the eventual national version, because the point is to measure uptake.
The campus effect
Ohio State is one of the largest universities in the country by enrolment, and the area around it functions as its own food economy. Store density near campus is high, hours run late, and during term time the promotional activity is the most aggressive in the metro.
The seasonal swing is dramatic. Late August through early May, the campus corridor is one of the busiest pizza markets in the Midwest. Mid-May through mid-August, it empties out and delivery quotes drop to twenty minutes. If you live near campus year-round, summer is genuinely the best time to order.
Game day is a different city
Home football Saturdays reorganise Columbus entirely. Traffic around the stadium becomes impassable, tailgate demand spikes ordering hours before kickoff, and any store within a couple of miles of the campus runs at capacity from mid-morning. The workaround locals use: order well before noon, or order from a store in Clintonville, Grandview or Upper Arlington rather than the campus corridor.
Cost of living works in your favour
Columbus is affordable by big-city standards and chain pizza reflects that. Menu pricing runs at or slightly below the national average, commercial rents are reasonable, and the combined sales tax rate in Franklin County is moderate. A family bundle here costs meaningfully less than the same order in Chicago, two states away.
Suburban coverage across Dublin, Westerville, Hilliard, Gahanna and Grove City is strong, with short quotes and consistent service. The gaps are on the far edges toward the rural county lines.
